Dear boy, do not be sad as we part ways,
for you have helped me gain the courage to leave in such a short amount of time.
I have seen your arms raise spirits and place them on your shoulders for piggyback rides.
I have seen your legs swaddle you and carry you to a father that loves you.
I have seen your eyes analyze the craft of the common adolescent bully,
wishing it was a lost art.
It was from you that I learned much in the school that I taught.
